In 2002 I was awarded my first degree in Nutrition and one year later I started my professional career on the island of Crete where I stayed for 9 years. I completed two postgraduate courses in exercise and as a lifelong learner, I obtained a second BSc in Journalism and Mass Media Communication from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (July 2019).
Coming from beautiful Kastoria and moving all around the country, I was fortunate to experience Greece, fall in love with its nature, and enjoy all the different landscapes this country has to offer. As an outdoor enthusiast, I have counted numerous kilometers hiking in Greek mountains (Lefka Ori, Pelion, Tzoumerka, Olympos, Grammos, etc) and abroad (Alps, Nepal, Oman) but also cycling, and skiing.
After gaining a long experience as a teacher in the field of education, I was attracted by the broader field of communication and in the last 3 years, I have been occupied in the tourism sector. Exploring new destinations has always been a challenge for me while transmitting messages about a more sustainable and active living stands as the ultimate goal of this business endeavor.
Starting from summer 2020, I am enrolled as a Ph.D. student (Department of Environment, University of Aegean); my thesis is focused on wellness tourism as a means of Effective Tourism Management in Island Destinations within the frame of Sustainable Development Goals.
